Eggs first decorated were a gift offering to the Pagan Sun God "Dazhboh," giver of life.  When the Ukraine region became Christianized in 988 A.D., the pagan pictures and signs took on Christian meaning.  Learn the craft of decorating eggs in the Ukrainian way with Sharon Leonard, "The Egg Lady."   Materials and instruction are provided in tonight's workshop.  Each egg becomes a story depending on the symbols and colors used.
