Exploring Literary Translation

Dr. Snyder translated The Housekeeper and the Professor from Japanese into English for publication in the United States in 2009.  Learn about the challenges and art of translating stories from one language to another.  Dr. Snyder will also discuss  his experience  in working with author, Yoko Ogawa.
Dr. Snyder is theKawashima Professor of Japanese Studies at Middlebury College in VT.
