Dolores Howard and Gwen Lewis bring art appreciation to your library.

Howardena Pindell , Atomizing Art, a 28 minute DVD will be shown for discussion. It is  biography of the African American female artist, including extensive interviews and footage of her creating in the studio. 

The life and work of Bloomfield's own artist and art instructor,  Dolores Howard (pictured at her easel in her studio)  will also be featured today.  Dolores has won Best of Show and several National Art awards.  An intuitive painter, Dolores is influenced by color, observation and emotions. She paints abstracts, landscapes and figures. 

A short video of African American Women Artists in Paris will wind up today's program. 

There will be time for questions and discussion in this celebration of women artists, both local and world-wide. .
