On this 75th anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor, join this first discussion in a series focusing on WWII, facilitated by Dr. Roberta Tansman. On December 7, 1941, the Japanese Empire stunned the world with a surprise attack on the U.S. naval base at Pearl Harbor. Commemorating this momentous historical event which brought the United States into World War II, tonight’s discussion will begin with the screening of a short segment of the documentary The War, a Ken Burns film. Discussions will be facilitated by Dr. Roberta Tansman, retired college professor of American History, and are scheduled for selected evenings 6:30 - 8:00 P.M. December 2016 through March 2017.
Copies of the discussion books will be available to participants.
