Prosser Library
Community Room

Event Details

In Disgraced,  playwright Ayad Akhtar puts contemporary attitudes toward religion under a microscope, revealing how tenuous self-image can be for people born into one way of being who have embraced another.  A bold exploration of race, culture, and what it means to be Muslim in post-9/11 America.

Prosser Public Library continues with its series of dramatic play readings by the Reader’s Theater, founded by Myron Gubitz.  Featuring area actors,  this production is directed by Anne Cassady and Richard Kamins.  The group has performed dramatic play readings at Prosser since 2008, bringing exciting, dramatic, touching  and humorous live theater to our audiences.  Registration is appreciated.
