Event Details

The year is 1944. As the Battle of the Tannenberg Line rages, Estonia finds itself trapped in the crossfire of the Red army of the the Russians and the Germans, who are fighting the Russian advance on the Third Reich.  Local Estonians are recruited/conscripted by both armies, causing the Estonians to take desperate measures to survive.  This film  by Elmo Nuganen, was the official entry from Estonia for Best Foreign Language Film at the Academy Awards in 2016. 
Running time:  1 hour, 40 minutes,  not rated.
