The Korean Spirit and Culture Promotion Project presents tonight's workshop. Participants will make a lotus flower lantern using colorful paper of their choice and wire frames. Korean traditional refreshments will be served. Participants will watch a short film on the meaning of the lotus flower. The lotus grows in a swamp or pond, but is not tainted by mud and has a clear and subtle fragrance. This natural characteristic has been used as a symbol of purity, nobility and sublimity. A short documentary film on Korean artistic tradition will be shown as well. Registration is required.
