Meet Emily Boyer today for a live performance on horn of new compositions, including music that she has composed. Emily balances a life of composing, chamber music, orchestral performance, both private and classroom teaching, and sacred music. She graduated from Interlochen Arts Academy and went on to earn her Bachelor of Music degree from Peabody Conservatory of the Johns Hopkins University and her Master of Music degree from the Yale School of Music. She has performed in the Banff, Aspen, Atlantic, and Institut Musical de Provence-Aubagne Music Festivals.

Ramon Paus, a Spanish composer who has enjoyed success both for the theater and movies, has also composed classical compositions which have been performed worldwide. He graduated from the prestigious Aula de Musica Moderna y Jazz - Covservatorio del Liceo de Barcelona, and beyond that studied orchestration with various teachers in Paris and Lyon. We shall hear his elegy to the memory of violinist and dear friend Edith Maretzki, a piece described in the liner notes as "hauntingly beautiful."
