Come and enjoy one of Bloomfield’s unique assets: poets.   Bloomfield is also home to the longest running poetry series in the state, run by Marilyn Johnston, at the P. Faith McMahon Wintonbury Library.   As part of Celebrate Bloomfield 2017, Prosser Public Library  presents  A Sampling of Bloomfield Poets” to showcase many local poets.   The afternoon will include an open mic time to follow the local poets’ readings.  Anyone can sign up to read poetry, of their own or others.   Books by Bloomfield poets will be available for sale.   The event is hosted by Tom Nicotera.

Bloomfield poets who will read today include Iris J. Arenson-Fuller, Katharine Carle, Aaron Caycedo-Kimura,  Luisa Caycedo-Kimura, Carl Dean, Carol G. Fine, Donna Fleischer, Marilyn Johnston, Broderick May, Melissa McEwen, Michelle McEwen, Garrett Phelan,  Norma Bursack, Tom Nicotera, and Andy Weil.
