Director Hirokazu Kore-eda brings us a powerful story of family ties and expectations in After the Storm.  When a typhoon strikes, Ryota, a failed writer and third-rate detective, unexpectedly spends the night together with his son, ex-wife and aging mother. The estranged family has an opportunity to believe in each other once again.
