Are you interested in researching your family history, but you are wondering how to begin and how to organize your documents? Have you started tracing your roots but don’t know where else to look to find your missing ancestors? Diane  Lemay is an experienced librarian/genealogist and will provide you with the tools to embark on your own ancestral journey! Learn the basics about vital records census records cemeteries online resources and much more.

Diane began working in the public library during high school, got her Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Library Science and made it her profession. She retired after devoting 36 years as a high school library media specialist and some  part-time work at the Connecticut State Library, and Saint Joseph’s College library. She has enjoyed researching her family genealogy since 1979, digging up Irish, French Canadian and Yankee roots. She joined the Connecticut Society of Genealogists in the 1980s, served on its Board of Governors, presently serves as assistant treasurer and maintains CSGs Facebook page.  She has authored many articles for its Connecticut Genealogy News magazine. Born in Norwood, MA., her family came to Connecticut in 1959. She resides in the Hartford area.
