The American Constitution is the first written constitution in the world.  How does a review of the Constitution deepen our understanding of American democracy and politics?

Today's Topic: Article 15: The Right to Vote & Article 19: Women's Suffrage

Join Dr. Roberta Tansman, former professor of American history at Wellesley College, for a discussion of the relevance of the Constitution today.

Dr. Tansman's expertise focuses on the tumultuous period of the 1780's that led to the debate and writing of the Constitution.  In each session participants will read and discuss key articles and amendments of the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.  The discussions are scheduled for selected Mondays and a Tuesday at 10:30 AM - 12:00 PM.  selected
