"A Bloomfield Poetry Organizer and a Master of Rhyme"--Features Marilyn Johnston and John P. Kneal, followed by Open Mic. PLEASE NOTE: Joan Hofmann was originally scheduled and has had to cancel and has been rescheduled to Dec. 19, 2019. Marilyn Johnston will read instead. John P. Kneal will still read. Marilyn Johnston is the author of two full collections of poetry, Silk Fist Songs and Weight of the Angel published by Antrim House Books. Her chapbook, Against Disappearance was published by Redgreene Press, Pittsburgh. Her work has garnered six Pushcart Prize nominations and has appeared in numerous journals, including South Carolina Review, Worcester Review, Rattle, bottle rockets, and Poet Lore.  Marilyn is co-founder of the popular Wintonbury Poetry Reading Series in the Bloomfield Libraries, a series she directed for twenty years. She retired from the library in 2017. Six of her poems will soon appear in an anthology entitled, Shadows From Unfinished Things, forthcoming from QTR Books. 
   John P. Kneal, pen name for John A. Willoughby, has had over 75 poems published in poetry journals, anthologies, company newsletters, and public web sites. His first book of poetry, Everyday Poems, was published in 2017. Samples of his work are also at Besides poems, John also writes novels and wisdom tidbits. He is an avid bridge player, tickles the ivory, pumps iron, and regularly takes the body for walks, swims, or cross-country skis. He and his wife have three grown children and a granddaughter, and reside in Suffield, CT.
