Bats in Connecticut

6:30 PM - 7:45 PM
Prosser Public Library
Community Room

Event Details

Bats evoke various emotions in people. Some see vampire-like creatures of the night. Others see an important environmental ally eating large quantities of mosquitoes and other night flying insects. Come and learn about the species of bats that inhabit Connecticut; where they live, how they reproduce and the challenges that face bats such as white-nose disease. Information on how to construct a bat house will be available.

Zellene Sandler, a Master Wildlife Conservationist volunteer with DEEP will give the presentation.  Much of the presentation was developed by Brynna  Morris  as part of a Girl Scout project.

Registration is appreciated.
