Come read to a furry friend! Registered therapy dogs and handlers
trained in the Reading Education Assistance Dogs (R.E.A.D.)® program
will be at the P. Faith McMahon Wintonbury Library. Established in 1999, "R.E.A.D. is the
first and foremost program utilizing the companionship of therapy
animals to encourage children's love of books and the reading
environment while providing an opportunity for them to practice the full
range of communication skills."
